Bobby Gorski - Land Consultant
Growing up in Dorchester County, Maryland, Bobby has always had a love for the outdoors. This love for the outdoors led him to West Virginia University (WVU), where he earned a BS Degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Resources in 1994. He spent 10 years at Environmental Concern, Inc. (EC), where he gained experience in native wetland plant identification and propagation, wetland mitigation planting, and tidal shoreline restoration. This work experience planted the seed in Bobby that grew into a love for wetlands and in later career positions, influenced his passion for wetland habitat projects. From EC, Bobby began a new career in the agriculture community in Talbot County, MD with the Talbot Soil Conservation District and Maryland Department of Agriculture as a Conservation Planner. After about six years, this career path led Bobby to Delaware where he joined the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in Sussex County and remained there for 14+ years as a Soil Conservationist. After a short stint as a Wetland Biologist with Maryland NRCS, Bobby found himself back in Delaware in October 2020 as a Conservation Planner with the Sussex Conservation District. Along this journey, he has gained over 30 years of knowledge and experience in the area of native plants, soil and water conservation, conservation planning, wetland restoration easement projects, development of shallow water impoundments for waterfowl, and other upland wildlife habitat projects. With his knowledge of State and Federal cost-share programs, Bobby has assisted farmers and landowners across two states in addressing resource concerns on the properties they own and manage.
Bobby currently resides in Seaford, DE with his wife Christy and their two children, Hanna & Ross. Outside of work, he spends his time tending to the family’s dogs, goats, and laying hens, playing cornhole, fishing the local river and farm ponds, and most recently taking an interest in hunting. Bobby is a diehard Mountaineer who rarely misses WVU basketball and football games when televised and sometimes catches games in person. Bobby is looking forward to using his knowledge of government programs, habitat improvement, and wetland restoration to serve the clients represented by The Land Group on Maryland’s Eastern Shore.
