Timberland Expert Beth Hill Joins The Land Group

CAMBRIDGE, MD – DECEMBER 4, 2019 – Beth Hill, a timberland resource expert has joined The Land Group (TLG), a land brokerage and consulting firm serving Maryland, Delaware and Virginia. Her network and experience in timberland and land management will serve her well as she assists clients with the purchase and management of timberland and farmland on the Mid-Shore.

Hill is a lifelong resident of the Eastern Shore of Maryland and has more than 20 years of experience in the sawmill, piling and timber industry. She serves as the Executive Director of the Maryland Forests Association and is on the Board of Directors of the Delaware Forests Association. Governor Larry Hogan appointed Ms. Hill to serve on the Sustainable Forestry Council and The Maryland Agricultural Commission. She is in the current class of LEAD Maryland, a 2-year fellowship program that focuses on building leadership to serve the agriculture, natural resource, and rural communities.

Prior to joining The Land Group, Hill was the Secretary/Treasurer of Dorchester Lumber Company, a family-owned business based in Linkwood, MD. During her tenure with the company she was responsible for the day to day operations and the management of over 5,000 acres of company land. The land was sustainably managed for both recreation and wildlife habitat while producing quality wood products.

Beth currently holds her Maryland real estate license and is in the process of becoming licensed in Delaware. She lives in Dorchester County with her husband Mark, and two sons, Sawyer and Harry.
