An August Full of Purpose

Good morning! Did you think I forgot about all my loyal readers?  The four of us should get together someday and chat.  July was nearly a full month of postings, but I will say it is creatively exhausting to be engaging. So instead of boring you with senseless drivel, I promised from the beginning not to be boring (At least try not to be).

So, here I am this morning tapping away on the iPad.  It’s August and many business owners try not to go to sleep in August, and someday I hope to convince myself to just stay on the beach.  This year August is going to be busy and full of purpose.  One such activity is the approaching Wicomico County Fair.

The The Land Group was fortunate to be asked to sponsor and promote the the Wicomico County Fair.  This year’s fair will be August 19th – 21st at Winterplace Park in Salisbury.  First established in 1936, the Wicomico County Fair marks the changing of the seasons as our agricultural community shifts into the Fall harvest season.

Growing out of the Delmarva Chicken Festival and the Wicomico County Farm and Home Show these two events partnered with the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce to bring this event to its new home at Winter Place Park.  Wicomico County Fair events will include livestock exhibits, the 5 ft. fry pan (who can miss that), educational poultry exhibits, antique tractor pulls and much more!

There will be something for everyone with live entertainment, food, free kids activities and a car show just to name a few. The 2016 event will be held at Winterplace Park in Salisbury during August 19-21. Admission and parking are free.
