The Land Group Expands its Footprint to West Virginia with the Addition of Advisor Jeff Hutchinson

SALISBURY, MD – AUGUST 24, 2021 – The Land Group (TLG) has announced its expansion into West Virginia with the addition of Jeff Hutchinson, a Land Advisor based in Hampshire County, WV. Hutchinson will be serving landowners and land buyers in West Virginia and Pennsylvania, utilizing the network and framework TLG has established in the Chesapeake Bay Region.

Hutchinson has a long history in the forestry field and is the founder of Summit Forestry Group, Inc. He has practiced forestry in West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Ohio, Virginia, and Tennessee, working with variable land ownership classifications.

“Jeff’s intricate knowledge of the forestry industry will be invaluable to our team and our clients,” said Principal Ben Alder. “He has an established business and client base in the West Virginia market, and I am excited to see how The Land Group can bring our advisory services to this area.”

Hutchinson graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Forest Science. After graduating, he began his career in consulting forestry with the staff of Forest Land Services Inc. of Ligonier, PA, later founding Summit Forestry Group in 2006.

A licensed Professional Forester in the State of West Virginia, his professional affiliations include membership in the Association of Consulting Foresters of America, Inc., for which he currently serves as the Chair of the West Virginia Chapter, American Chestnut Foundation, and the Forest Landowners Association.
