Scott Reinhart - Advisor
For the past 27 years, Scott’s path has prepared him for advising Pennsylvania landowners on how best to get a return on their investment. Since 1997, Scott has worked in the conservation industry – his work with multiple county conservation districts had him designing and implementing agricultural best management practices within the Chesapeake Bay. In 2000, Scott worked as a regional biologist for Ducks Unlimited where, for the next ten years, he would assist private landowners, and state and federal agencies with restoring and preserving some of Pennsylvania’s most critical habitats. Following his time with Ducks Unlimited, Scott went on to serve as the Area Resource Conservationist for the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resource Conservation service. Here, he worked with agricultural producers and private landowners to implement Farm Bill programs. Simultaneous with working for USDA/NRCS, Scott operated his own farm, growing over 250 acres of corn, soybeans, hay and sweet corn. Scott’s most recent venture has given him extensive knowledge of forestry practices, timber management and sales.
When Scott isn’t working, he can be found managing his property for upland bird hunting, whitetail deer, turkeys and fishing. Living in Northeast Pennsylvania has provided Scott with extensive knowledge of oil and gas leasing and mineral rights. From 2006 through 2008, Scott led a group of 375 local landowners in Susquehanna County through the lease creation and negotiation process. They were one of few successful groups to accomplish a lease in the amount of $52 million dollars.
