Bobby Gorski - Advisor
Bobby was born and raised in Dorchester County on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. His love for wildlife and the outdoors led him to West Virginia University (WVU) where he earned a BS degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Resources in 1994. During and after college, he spent 10 years working at Environmental Concern, Inc. (EC) where he gained experience in native wetland plant identification and propagation, wetland mitigation plantings, and tidal shoreline restoration. This work planted a seed in Bobby, which grew into a love for wetlands and in later career positions, influenced his passion for wetland habitat and restoration projects.
Not long after leaving EC, Bobby started down a new career path in 1999 that meandered throughout the agricultural community of Talbot County and the Lower Eastern Shore Counties of Maryland and Sussex County, Delaware. He worked with several County, State, and Federal agencies filling roles as Conservation Planner, Soil Conservationist, and Wetland Biologist, which spanned a nearly 23-year career. During this timeframe, Bobby assisted farmers and landowners in both states in conservation planning efforts and making use of government cost-share programs to improve wildlife habitat, restore wetlands, manage timber, and to be great stewards of the land they owned and operated. In January 2022, he accepted a new challenge as the Agriculture Conservation Specialist with the Delmarva Chicken Association (DCA). In this role, Bobby assisted poultry growers across Delmarva in addressing natural resource concerns on their operations.
In July 2022, Bobby started a journey down another career path giving the clients of The Land Group his full attention. His 30+ years of knowledge and experience in areas of native plant species selection, soil and water conservation, wetland restoration easements, planning and installing shallow water impoundments for waterfowl, and other upland wildlife habitat projects will serve as a benefit to The Land Group’s clientele. With his understanding of State and Federal cost-share programs, Bobby can educate buyers and sellers on the resources available to address natural resource concerns on the properties they own and manage.
Bobby currently resides in Seaford, DE with his wife Christy and their two children, Hanna & Ross. Away from work he spends his time working outside tending to the family’s dogs, goats, and laying hens. He likes to fish the local rivers and ponds when time is available and has recently taken an interest in hunting.
